Lucca is waiting to welcome you with a calendar full of events!

The new year is here and 2025 is already proving to be full of interesting days and events to mark in your calendar.

Our city becomes the capital of extra virgin olive oil with Lucca Olive Oil You, the first international festival entirely dedicated to high quality artisanal extra virgin olive oil. The event will be held on February 1 and 2 in the elegant spaces of the Real Collegio and admission is free.

The month of February is Carnival month and this year, on the occasion of the Viareggio Carnival, many fun initiatives are once again being organised in our city as part of Lucca in Maschera. The highlight of the event will take place on February 23, with the classic costume parade which will make its way between Lucca’s City Walls, the historic centre and Piazza San Michele.

In March, the spectacle of camellias in bloom returns to the Capannori area, thanks to the Mostra delle Antiche Camelie della Lucchesia, the annual event that celebrate the beautiful Camellia flower.

And there will be time until early March to visit the Giacomo Puccini Manifesto exhibition: advertising and illustration that extend beyond the opera world, the exhibition of posters dedicated to composer Giacomo Puccini’s works or commissioned by historic companies, with which Puccini had significant relationships.

March 15 and 16, on the other hand, will be the time to discover and enjoy typical local flavors and delicacies: Lucca Gustosa is back, a long weekend dedicated to taste and surprises.

And, for those who love vintage, things from the past and wish to take advantage of the unique opportunity to buy beautiful original objects, don’t miss the Antiques Market held on the third Sunday of each month.
